Education Verification Checks (QUALIFICATION CHECKS FOR MATRIC AND TERTIARY)

A qualification check is essential during the employment process, it verifies that the information on the applicants’ resume is precise and ensures against falsified qualifications. It is also important to verify that they attended the listed institutions to obtain their degrees and licenses.

A high percentage of resumes and employment applications contain exaggerations or outright false statements regarding the applicant’s academic achievements.

We ensure that the highest earned degree and confirmation of written statements provided by applicant on their application/resume are verified.

The educational institute will verify the following: dates of attendance, course of study, graduation status, type of degree, and any achievements or honors that were received.

Our Process

The candidate will be required to sign a consent form and submit his/her qualifications, e.g. Certificates, diplomas, degrees, honors, masters, Doctorates) copies for verification via the National Qualifications Register (NQR).

The National Qualifications Register (NQR) is an electronic register of all qualifications issued by subscribing institutions and it is owned and operated by MIE.

The register was established in an ongoing effort to optimise the accuracy and speed up the qualification verification process.

South African Matric (Grade 12) and Senior Certificate qualifications are verified through Umalusi.

Pre 1992 Matrics

These are verified at the various Provincial Departments of Education.
